Bring a Rose and Linda Meech were at their brilliant best today, scoring a strong yet convincing win over the staying test of 2200m (pic from Pakenham maiden win).

It was the daughter of Sebring’s second win from just ten career starts and the mare is starting to really put it all together as an up and coming stayer.

Today was just her fourth start at 2000m or above with the other three runs resulting in a maiden win, a close up fourth at Caulfield as a 3yo and another forgivable run at the same venue. As a maturing mare it looks like Bring a Rose still has plenty of upside as she heads in to the back half of her 4yo season and there looks to be plenty more on offer throughout this preparation.

Trainer Ciaron Maher will let the mare come through the run before deciding whether he looks for a nice race back in town for Bring a Rose or whether another provincial assignment awaits.

Congratulations to a great group of owners and let’s hope this is the start of a big 5 days for Dalziel Racing!
